Griffy talking/ Gavin's stitches

Griffin has really started to develop his vocabulary. He has two great talkers, aka Mommy and Gavin, in the family so I'm sure that might have a little bit to do with it. LOL! He will try to say about anything which is so adorable. Tractor, combine, mommy, daddy, and papa are his favorite words. In the mornings, I allow him to go wake up Gavin and he says "moning" to him until he wakes up which isn't always the most pleasant time of the day for him. Side note: Gavin takes after his mother-he isn't a morning person. Griffin is happy to go to him in the morning and talk whether he is listening or not. So adorable to watch. Griffin loves to grab your finger and take you places so he will say "mirr-mirr" if you wants you to "come here". On our way to work, we pass a backhoe but it comes out "kak-co, kak-co". Super cute. I could sit and listen to him all day long. I love it!!!

Gavin did get his stitches out on last Monday. He did really well. He loves Dr. Kate and now wants to see her more often, I think it has something to do with getting an orange sucker when he goes but we won't tell. Dr. Kate did have to put some tape on the area to keep closed but I took them off on Friday and it looked great. Awesome job!! No we didn't keep the stitches for his baby book but at least I have pictures. I was a little grossed out by it since all I have ever seen is staples in Kerry's head (by the way that is way worse to see then stitches but all the same gross). Gavin will hit his chin every once in a while and says it hurts but I just think he was used to something being there all of the time to protect it.

By the way for those that are wondering, still no progress on the sippy cup. We are having a horrible time with it so we will see.... I now after having two kids believe what my parents always said to me was true "Kids grow up way too fast."
