Football

Yes we have football player on our hands now.  And let me tell you he is more than excited to be one....  He really enjoys it.
This is him in his practice uniform fully padded.  He weights 10 more pounds with everything on.  :)
His games have started.  Let me tell you as a Mamma they are a little nerve wrecking to watch but so much fun.  They lost their first game but they have another game this Saturday so I'm hoping they can get a big Win this time around.  More pictures to come on this matter.....

Corn....And more corn

This year we had a ton of corn and I mean tons of corn.  Dad planted four small rows of sweet corn for me to freeze and oh man did it produce this year.  Last year all the racoons got to the sweet corn before anyone could pick it. It was a very sad deal but this year made up for it.  We started on a Sunday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. and finished by 10:30 p.m.  We filled two baby plastic baby pools full of corn.  I had some amazing help this year and without them I wouldn't have been able to accomplish any of it.  It is also delicious.  The boys were eating it right out of the field as long as it didn't have any worms.
My awesome, amazing, and always beautiful helper...  She and her kids are always up for anything....
Garrett stole this off the counter to eat for himself.
The finish product..... 97 quart bags of delicious, sweet corn.

3 on 3 tournament

Gavin participated in the 3 on 3 basketball tournament a couple of weekends ago for the Tori and Alec Crutcher Memorial weekend.  There were no other teams that were their age so they had to play kids much older than them but they still did a great job.
The team was made up of Tyler, Gavin, and Gyllian.  I know I say this a ton but truly it is a joy to watch.  We love every minute of it.
We had a huge cheering section.  I didn't get a picture of them all but it was awesome to see all the support.  Obviously Papa 4 wheeler and Garrett were in deep conversation.
And here is the All Star Team....

Gorgeous Cousins

Our baby Haas cousin got married a few weeks back, he is the youngest of 17 of us.  He is almost 10 years younger than we are.  It was a gorgeous day and gorgeous setting for the reception.  It was right over the Illinois River in Peoria.  We had a great time.  These two other beatiful cousins and I are like sisters.  Stephanie, left, has three boys Connor, Collin, and Cooper. Kelly, right, has a boy and a girl and is pregnant with her third.  It is so fun getting together with these two and I love how close we are.  Our last picture we took together was before we had children and right after we all got married.  It was time to update our picture.  I'm so glad we were able to get together.
