One More Day!

Just one more day until my FAVORITE day of the year!! THANKSGIVING!!! Tonight we worked on a little Thanksgiving craft. But first things first, on Tuesday, the boys and I went in the rain and picked out some leaves so we could lay them out to dry for our turkey. So tonight we looked up what a turkey looked like on the Internet and then we learned a little bit about turkeys by reading about them. Okay, I read and the boys listened. Gavin was very interested in the male turkeys because their feathers are so beautiful. We then decided that we needed to fan out the leaves in order to make the "feathers" of the turkey. It was so cute because Gavin glued all of the leaves on the piece of paper, he kept calling the glue grease for some reason. I have discovered he loves to glue things. We then put a empty roll of toilet paper on as the body of the turkey. I drew eyes, beak, and googler. Here is what we made:
