Last night, we went to the Prairie Central vs Tri-Point basketball game. Justin Cox, a friend of ours, is the coach of the Tri Point team so we thought it would be great to go watch. We were up on the baloney (if you really want to call it that) of the gym watching the boys warm up. All of the sudden, Gavin shouts, "There is GOD!". Kerry says, "What, where?" I asked Gavin what he said just to be sure I heard him right and he told me that he sees God. He then pointed to the U-High Pioneer painted mascot on the wall of the gym. I asked him if that is what he thought God looks like. He said, "Yep, I do." Now, I don't have to wonder what he thinks God looks like.
On another note, we will praying that God is with the family of Dax Locke. I don't know much about the amazing little boy but he does have a caringbridge site you can see. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/daxlocke
He is a little boy that lost his battle to cancer. It was in the local papers to put your Christmas lights up early so that he could see them before he died. As I understand, doctors said he won't make it to Christmas but he did. Although sadly, today he passed away. I can't and don't want to image losing a loved one especially a child. I will be giving my boys an extra hug and kiss, being extra thankful for every moment with my them and our families.
