Screening

Both Gavin and Griffin's screenings were today. Gavin was screened for Pre-School and Griffin was screened to find out if he is on target according to his age. The boys both passed with flying colors!! They both have above average fine and gross motor skills. Griffin just needs to work on stuff like, "What flies in the air?" and be able to point to a picture of of a bird. So I plan on working with him on that. Gavin's screening was a little different than Griffin's. Griffin's was one on one where Gavin interacted with other children his age for at least 45 minutes. The teachers walked around, asked questions, and played with all the children. Gavin was thrilled and really loved it. There are twenty slots to fill for the Pre-School program so the children with the most needs will fill the slots first and then the other children fill in the rest of the slots. Since Gavin passed all areas, he is not an automatic in which is really great but he really wants to go to schoool. So we will find out in May if he gets into the program. I was a very proud Mommy of my boys today!!

That's is always reassuring to know that your kidos are on track with others their age. Great Job - it must be all that homework you doing with them that is paying off!
