This past weekend Kerry and I went to St. Louis with our friends. Talk about great time with great friends. Hottie and I ran in the St. Louis St. Patrick's 5 mile race with her friend, Heather, and at least 13,000 other people. We did not do any training before hand which was a little silly but it was so well worth it. I also remember partly through the race that Missouri actually has hills unlike Illinois and they can be killer on the legs.
Here is all three of us before the race. It was a little bit cold but made for good weather run. We ran most of the race and only walked a little bit of it. I pushed Hottie at the beginning of the race and she pushed me at the end. We finished in one hour and ten minutes. I may not sound too astonishing of a time but it was to us especially since we had not trained at all. Jeff and Kerry were randomly throughout the race watching and it was awesome to see them cheering us on. It felt good. We can't wait to do the race again next year to see how quickly we can do it with training. I think we may make it an annual event.
After the race we rested for a while before taking off to see the Arch. It was much larger than I ever thought. We decided to go up into it. Each of us had to deal with their own little scary but we made it and enjoyed it. The view from the top was awesome.
Do you see the new stadium?
We went to dinner at Daves and Buster which is a restaurant and arcade combo. Hottie and I relaxing before dinner.
Doesn't Kerry look thrilled? Someday I will get him to like picture...
We had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun.
