Bunk Beds

We finally decided to get bunk beds after thinking about them since May of last year. Eventually, the boys will be in the same room and then we will have an activity room upstairs. I really like the idea of the boys sharing a room and we thought the best way to do that and save space was to use bunk beds. They should last forever at least I hope they do and they are absolutely gorgeous. They turned out better than I could imagine and the boys love them. Yes, Griffin loves to get in one of the beds too but he just doesn't stay in the bed. The top bunk had a full rail across it but since neither of them are going to be up there for a while, Kerry decided to put the full rail on the bottom so Gavin couldn't get out as easily because the other side of the bed would be against the wall. Both of the boys can get up the ladder to the top bunk and enjoy doing so. Needless to say, Gavin stayed in bed all night long and didn't go to the gate at all. Talk about the happiest mother alive to see her son not sleep on the floor at the gate with the door behind him. It broke my heart to see him do that every night, even though we would put him in his bed, but he was comfortable I guess. We will see how tonight goes. Gavin requested that I not put up the gate tonight when he went to bed so hopefully he doesn't get out. Enough of my rambling.... here are the beds. Feel free to come by and see them. I LOVE THEM!!!
The bottom rail is not on in the picture but it looks just like the top one but it is full length.
