Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

This is my most favorite day of the WHOLE YEAR, Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving morning, we woke up pretty early and got heading out to Papa 4 wheeler's house to start the cooking. The boys were a little confused why they had to wait to eat the turkey but after some snacks to hold them over they were just fine waiting and watching....

We had a great noon meal but by the end, we all entirely too full and ready for a short little nap. So we all laid down for a while, some of us slept while others of us just watched football. Bet you can't guess, who fell asleep....

They were both so comfy and relaxed. After our time with Papa 4 wheeler and Mama Kathy, we headed to Papa Steeler and Mama Dolphin's house for our supper meal. We all had a really great time catching up, eating, and seeing each other. We all filled out bellies full again.... My nephew taught Gavin how to play a football game on Xbox. I couldn't believe how quickly he picked it up. He may not know what he was doing but he made one touchdown which made his whole night. Anthony also wrestled with the boys which they love, so needless to say by the time we hit the road, they were exhausted. I did get a fun picture before the end of the day. They are really starting to make silly faces when I get the camera out. Do you think that means I use the camera too much? LOL!!

Then on Saturday, I went shopping with two of my cousin, Kelly and Stephanie. They were shopping the night before all night and into the early morning hours on Friday so on Saturday, it was more of spend time together and pick up a few items here and there. I couldn't believe how calm the mall were. All the Christmas music and decorations, really put me in the Christmas mood. So on Sunday we put up the tree. The boys were so hyper about getting all of the ornaments on the tree. They really got into it this year. We talked about the ornaments a little as we put them on which was really neat to share with them. Yes many of the ornaments are near the bottom and in one location but I love it that they were a huge part this year.

And then Papa 4 wheeler calmed them down right before bed...
