Today I had a half day and it was absolutely gorgeous out. I picked up Griffin but Gavin wasn't out of school yet so Griffin and I had a little alone time together. He is doing really well in Pre-K but he always says that he doesn't want to talk about it. Today when I picked him up, he told me he got on the wrong bus. Of course, I panicked because that is how I am but he acted like it was no big deal. I guess he thought he was suppose to get on a certain bus but the driver realized before anyone left that he shouldn't be on that bus so they switched him quick and he was absolutely fine. I'm glad he did so well with it. He will give me little tid bits of his day but it is definitely on his terms and time. It is kinda funny really. With the alone time with Griffin, I came to realize how much Griffin misses Gavin during the day. He kept asking when we could go walk to pick him up. When Gavin got off the bus, you would have thought the boys hadn't seen each other for several days. They were excited to see one another and they were off ready to play together. We walked home and they played outside for a long while together; digging in the rocks, playing football, riding bikes or scooters, and playing basketball.
They play so well together. And they constantly talk the whole time to catch up on each other's day. They ended their play time tonight racing. It is hilarious... They each have certain drivers they like and they were off to speed racin.
I can't wait to see how they are with their new brother. It is going to be a lot of fun. I really enjoy my half day with them both. It has been a while since I had one so it was so nice to spend the time together.
