Our family trip to Lake of the Ozarks

Last Sunday, we left for a family vacation to Lake of the Ozarks.  I captured this sweet photo the first day.
We no more got down there and Gavin was ready to jump in the lake.  No surprise.... We needed to unpack and do some things before he could so the minute we said "GO", he ran down and jumped right on in.  Good thing because I don't know if he could have waited another minute.
We bought a small blow up pool for Garrett and he loved it.  He spent some time in there and in the lake.  He didn't care for his life vest so we usually didn't put it on him unless we were heading out on the jet ski with him.  Yes!  He rode the jet ski and loved every minute of it.  It must have relaxed him.
Look at that smile and baby blue eyes....
For the first couple of days, Griffin won't come off the steps unless his arms and legs were completely wrapped around me.  He was scared that his life vest won't hold him up which I can understand for a little boy like him.
He won't even get in to pee so he would stand on the steps to do it.....
My favorite part was floating on this floaty thing with the boys all around me.  Garrett fell asleep once out there but I had no luck the rest of the time.  I think it had a whole lot to do with his life jacket not being so comfortable.
So he would play with Daddy....
 And play in his pool....
Griffin loved to feed the ducks while we were there and then he would get the water gun out and hose them down....  So Nice of him.
For the first time ever, Gavin knee boarded.  He did absolutely amazing and as you can tell from his smile, he loved it.

Griffin even tried it.  He wasn't such a fan but at least he tried it.  He accidentally fell off in the middle of the lake and freaked out badly so he didn't want to do it anymore.

Then he won't let go of the rope unless I was in the water waiting to catch him.  Let's just say that was interesting.
FINALLY on Thursday, Griffin realized that the life vest would hold him up in the water.  We were so proud of him.  Then he was in the water more than Gavin.
 Our handsome boys!!!!
This pose didn't work so well.
Garrett saying, this is enough photos please MOM!!
This poor guy was a little fussy part of the time.  I think he is working on teeth and he has a little bit of a cold but he was a trooper.
This is a photo from the jet ski.... I love it.
 All the grand kids....
Most of the time we were trying to get Evan or Garrett's attention and then we would get a funny look from either Gavin or Griffin.  It was just humorous...
Grandma and Grandpa 4 wheeler with the grand kids....  Griffin was done taking pictures and Garrett just can't stop looking at this tree above him...  Too funny!!!
 Our family photo....
A couple of different times, Gavin would say that some stranger had made a face at him or say something to him about his beautiful eyes.  He would get all shy and hide.  Then Taffy place we went into one of the workers said it rather loudly and then looked at the other boys and expressed her love for their blues eyes too.  I got the biggest shy, smile from them.  We had a great time.  I loved all the family time we got to spend together and seeing the boys enjoy the water just as much as Kerry and I do.  I seem to say this a lot but I truly feel very blessed by it all!!!

Unfortunately, on the way home Gavin puked most of the ride.  Hopefully the rest of us don't get it.
