El Paso Corn Festival

Yesterday the boys and I went to the Corn Festival over in El Paso. Mama Kathy is originally from there plus most of my cousins are from there as well. We met up with Kelly and Brady Ray. First was the parade with all types of things trucks, tractors, wagons, football players, cars, and other interesting things. The theme was Pirates so it was really neat. Their parades give out a lot more candy than ours ever did as I remember. The boys got a sugar high real quick.

The first picture is of my cousin Kelly, Gavin, Griffin, and her son is in the orange hat, Brady Ray. Next picture is when Gavin and Brady were picking up all of the candy from off of the street. They reallylove that. Gavin was a little scared at first because of the loud noises but he got the hang out it soon after. I went to take a picture in the street and he started to yell at me, "Watch out mommy, You will get run over!" At least he knows he shouldn't be in the street. Next we ate which Gavin and Brady didn't do much of. Gavin got his first experience in a port-a-potty. Gross!! He was really upset that he couldn't flush the toliet and didn't understand why not. I hate those types of potties and use them as a last resort but I was thankful he went without too much of a fight. We let the boys play at a little playground for a while before starting our fun on the rides.

The boys' favorite part were the ride. Brady wanted to go on the merry-go-around but Gavin was more interested in wanting to jump. They both rode the trucks and the slide but their favorite was the jumping ball. The boys really enjoy playing with each other and us Moms loved to get caught up on a little girl time.
Griffin didn't ride any rides but he was pretty happy just hanging out watching the boys play. We all can't wait to get together again for some more fun.

Glad to see that the boys had so much fun in at the corn festival. The boys look so cute picking up the candy off the street. I'm pleased that Gavin went in the port a potty. I don't know to many people that like to visit them. When did you go over there? I didn't see Kerry anywhere. Keep the stories and cute pictures of my grandchildren coming. Love from Colfax
