Repaint Job

Every since we moved in I wanted to make the living room feel more cozy so 4 weeks after Griffin was born I did the same wall treatment that I did to old house. The treatment is where you take two colors and blend them together similar to the sponge or ragging effect. It hides all of the imperfections of the wall. I loved it in our other house but I did it in a rush at this home and it never looked quite like I wanted it to.

So today as stupid as it may seem or was, I took the day off of work to have a day to myself to paint the living room. So I painted and made sure that it would get done today since this was the only day that I was going to take off to do this. (I would never think to take a day off to do such a thing but I have wanted to do it since February but couldn't find the time) I chose one color rather than a combination of colors and I really like it. It turned out better than I thought plus I was proud of myself that I got it done all in one day. The color is called rhubard, it is kinda a combination brown and red. You will have to come see it in person but for those that can't here is a couple of pictures.
I hope you all enjoy my pictures. As silly as it sounds, I really do feel a lot better now that it is done and I do like it a lot better. You will have to tell me your thoughts.
COMING SOON!!
A video of Griffin walking. It is so cute and adorable to watch him start to walk but then I realize he is growing up way too quickly.

Looks Great, Sara! If you ever see pics of my home in KC you will see that I LOVE the red colors!

When I was expecting Ethan I painted a hallway and all the way up a set of stairs in one day - so I know crazy! I was color washing with three different colors so I was up and down a ladder all day...I was so sore since I was also lugging 7 months of baby weight up and down the ladder:) But I loved the end result and was glad I did it;)

I'm glad your crazy boss gave you the day off!!:)
