GIRLS WEEKEND OUT!
This past weekend, I had a girls weekend out with three of my other cousins. We had all decided that we needed to get together for a weekend and have time together to shop and catch up. Our main goal was to get some of our Christmas shopping for the boys done. We all have boys around the same age which is awesome. Kelly, Stephanie, and I all started at Toy'R'Us because we thought that was the best place to begin. It was! Then we headed to Oakbrook Mall which has so many stores you can't get to them all in one day. There was three levels and it was amazing. We went around to all of the kids stores first and then moved on. I wanted to see it all. You may think it was a little early but the entire mall was dressed in a Christmas theme and Santa Clause was even there. This particular mall's theme this year was "The Polar Express". The mall people (I don't have a clue what you call them) did a fantastic job. I did a lot of watching as well and I came to the conclusion that I am so out of style. Many of the women wear this shoes called UGAs, which I don't particular care for, but they are like fuzzy boats you wear outside you jeans. As a matter of fact, they wear all of the boots outside of the jeans. I thought that was a fashion, No no. I still wear brown shoes with white socks. I can't help it, I am cold all of the time so I would rather look dumb and be warm then look hip and freeze. After a long day of shopping and a little bit of watching, we freshened up and went out for dinner to catch up on girl talk. I know that was my favorite part. We all got to talking and laughing, we lost track of time. It just reminded me how thankful I am to have close family and friends to spend time with. That night, we all stayed at Kimmy's apartment. Kelly and I did alittle more shopping the next day at Marshalls and IKEA, both places I have never been. Then it was Home again. Gavin told me he missed me and Griffin wanted me to pick him up right away. It is really nice to be missed.
