One of my embarrassing moments as a mother....

On Tuesday evenings, I have been trying to take the boys with me to the library and grocery store. I am hoping that it is a weekly occurrence but we will see how it pans out. Gavin, Griffin, and I pick out seven books for the week to read at night and then we get our groceries. So far the two weeks that I have done it, it has gone well. Although I had a very embarrassing moment at the end of our grocery trip yesterday evening. I was checking out all of the groceries and Gavin loves to hand the lady the stuff so that she can scan it. He usually doesn't say anything and just keeps handing her items. He was being really good and all of the sudden out of the blue Gavin yells, "Mommy, I farted!" I didn't hear him quite right but I thought that was what he said so I ignored the comment thinking he might just let it go. Wrong thing to do as a mother. So he yells it again to get my attention. I said "Gavin we don't say things like that." And he says, "I farted. I did!" and then again. It was rather embarrassing so after having several people in ear shot laughing at us, we decided to leave the store asap!! Gavin and I had a little talk in the van about what happened and I am just hoping that it doesn't happen again. This is one of my most embarrassing moments of being a mother.
