Gavin's girlfriend/Official Weight Update

Gavin has a girlfriend, Courtney. Yes you heard me right. She is a tiny bit older than him, like a sophomore in high school, but he loves to tease her, play games with her, and watch her play basketball. She is a blond needless to say and they have been inseparatible since the boys started daycare at Tracy's in October. On Tuesday and Thursday nights this week, we went to Courtney's Varsity games. Gavin and Griffin both cheered her on like good little sport fans do. Yelling, "GO COURTNEY GO!! GO COURTNEY GO!!" When she was out of the game both the boys look for her and ask when she is going to go back in the game. Tonight when we picked up Papa Hurt Leg, Gavin said without a skipping a beat, "We are going to watch my girlfriend play basketball." Oh so funny!!! Both the boys are one of her biggest fans. In a couple of weeks, he will be attending school with Courtney for a couple of days for one of her classes. He is so thrilled!! I can't wait to hear stories from what happens there. Oh by the way, since Gavin calls her his girlfriend, Griffin does the same. Monkey see monkey do!!!

Today, we had physicals for both of the boys. It is official Gavin weighs in at a whole 30 lbs while Griffin weighs 31 lbs. Even though it is only 1 lb difference it seems like a lot more. Gavin is 4 inches taller than Griffin though. 3ft. 4 ins. is how tall Gavin is with Griffin following right after. While I was filing out paperwork, I asked Gavin what gender he was Male or Female. Having not talked about gender at all other than boy and girl, he promptly said, "I'm MALE, Mom and so is Griffin!" Wow! They both amaze me everyday and I absolutely love it. Oh I almost forgot, Griffin's head is bigger around than Gavin's. Shocking I know. LOL!!
