Morning!

Mommy, Gavin, and Griffin really are not morning people. Griffin is the most morning person of all of us. The past couple of mornings have been ruff with the hot weather, playing outside, swimming, and sometimes without a nap, the boys as well as myself have found it very difficult to get out of bed. The other day Gavin woke up in a very surprisingly good mood. He was cheerful and ready for his busy day although Griffin was not. He was kicking and screaming. He was yelling "NO NO NO NO NO"! Just throwing the biggest temper tantrum. I know you are all surprised with my kids ever doing that but they do at times. LOL!!! Gavin knelt beside him and rubbed his back and started to sing to him. Griffin started to calm down. Then the very next day, Gavin woke up in a foul mood. Griffin had been up playing for a short so when Gavin was upset, throwing a fit, crying, and anything else you want to plug in there, Griffin sat by him and rubbed his leg. Griffin can't sing so he couldn't do that but I bet he would have if he could. Such an adorable moment in the morning for me when mornings are hard for me as well at times.

P.S. Daddy is at work or heading to work by the time this all happens so unfortunately or fortunately however you want to look at it he misses out.

Griffin's FIRST haircut

Yes, Griffin got his first haircut. Gavin has been getting his haircut for a quite some time with Kara. On Monday, Kara asked Griffin to get up in the chair after Gavin. I thought for sure he would fight it and get upset. I wasn't prepared at all because first I didn't know we were doing it that day and if I did think we were, I figured for sure he won't get up there. But he got up there just like he had done it for the past several months. There was no fuss or problems which was a relief and sad all at the same time. Yes, I'm an emotional mom. So he got the back of his hair cut off and some on top but thankfully the CURLS ARE STILL THERE. They are even cuter now if that is possible. I got to keep a couple of curls but he didn't want to take a picture afterwards. To give you an idea, when Griffin's hair was wet it went down to the middle of his back but later would curl up. As Kerry would say, It is about time. Much easier for the dad than the mom.

Time Out

This is Griffin's time out place at Papa Steeler's and Grandma Dolphin's. Just kidding. Grandma Dolphin found Griffin in Allie's (their dog) cage after Allie had been barking for a while.
So funny!
This is an adorable picture of them two taken by Papa Steeler. Both laughing and having a good time.

Getting the hose down

In an good attempt to get Gavin to forgot about his big fall, Matt Matt introduced Gavin to the water hose tonight. They had a blast and only one of them was soaked by the end of the evening. Any guesses who that was? Gavin even loved to spray the hose in his own face.

This is Gavin spraying the water in his face. Hilarious. Griffin even laughed at him.

Matt Matt and Gavin trying to get Griffin but it didn't work. Griffin did get sprayed once and was extremely upset about it.

Matt Matt getting Gavin really well. So funny. Little things entertain the old and young. LOL!!

Mama Dolphin has a hole in her yard so here they are inspected whether or not they can fill it with water or find bugs in it.

Matt Matt found a worm and so bugs. He is thrilled to show his discovery.

Gavin in the end tried to fill the hole with water. He had to try to be satisfied. It was an awesome time. We had good laughs and great entertainment for all. We had to end the fun though Gavin started to get cold but he was such a tough guy.

New Sleeping Arrangements

NO I don't mean for Kerry and I, I mean for Gavin and Griffin. Recently, after we read books, say prayers, and say our good nights, I tell Griffin to give Gavin a hug and get ready to go to bed. Griffin runs to Gavin's room and lays on the floor like he is saying his bed should be in Gavin's room. When I put him in his crib, he cries and screams for about 20 minutes and then finally lays down to go to sleep. He is Kerry's temper not mine. LOL Griffin just started doing this and it tears at me that he gets so upset to be in his own crib and room. We have never had a problem before with him crying or screaming when he goes to bed so it was a shock to us. So last night, I thought I would try something new. I set the pack n play in Gavin's room right next to their bunk beds. I figured what is the worst that could happen, they talk to each other for a while and then go to sleep. So I did our normal routine I do for Gavin in his room and include Griffin. When I walked out of the room, Griffin started to cry so I picked him up and place him in Gavin's bed right next to him. He was fine. A very short time later, Gavin was up and at the door trying to fall asleep and Griffin was having a good old time in the room. I thought this isn't going to work. So I put a movie on so both of them could see it from the bed and the pack n play. Griffin went right to sleep in the pack n play. A big sigh of relief but then after going up and down the stairs a few million times for Gavin due to him being very scared of the storm, he feel fast asleep in his bed all night long. Gavin woke up thrilled that he had a buddy to sleep with in his room. We will see how long this last.
