New Color

Gavin and I were picking up Legos the other night. He was kinda upset because he didn't want to pick them up but of course he has to learn so I thought I would make a game out of it. We would say the color of the Legos when we threw them in the bucket. Gavin quit weening and started to play along. So I'm going about picking up the Legos and I happen to hear him say, "John Deere." I had to stop and watch. Green in his eyes is the color John Deere. Gee I wonder where that came from. (Papa 4 wheeler only owns or will only buy John Deere)I stopped and told Gavin that John Deere wasn't a color and he of course argued with me that it was a color.

So we are going to bed the next night, I'm not really thinking turn on his turtle that shines the constellations on the ceiling but there are different colors to choose from orange, green, and blue. Gavin pops in bed and says I want John Deere on tonight. So green has a new name, JOHN DEERE.

Both the boys are addicted to farming already and this is just one of I'm sure many examples to follow. So you will never look at the color green without thinking JOHN DEERE like Gavin.
