Fairbury Fair

It is that time of year again, the last week of summer where our fair comes into town.  I am thankful for it but boy after five days of it, I am glad it is gone.  We took the boys to the races on Wednesday night and of course they love it.  On Thursday night, Gavin rode rides.  Griffin won't get on them for anything, all he wanted to do was see the animals which was fun too.  Gavin rode a couple new rides to him this year which I was a little bit shocked with.  He is riding with his second cousin or something like that in the picture below on the helicopers.
Then he tried out the worm ride....  I think he thought that ride was a joke.
Then the jetskis....  You have to love those buzzer things they get to push the whole time.

Then came the bigger rides once he warmed up.  He rode this roller coaster which was a lot of fun and a little jerky it seemed.
Yes that is his best friend, Tyler, and him holding up their hands as they go around.  Too funny!!!
I was glad to see that Kerry got in a ride or two as well.  Friday night, we had an adults night but the boys did go to the Demo Derby with Papa 4 wheeler and Mama Kathy.  They stayed the night at their home and said they had a lot of fun at the "bumper cars".  I'm glad they really enjoyed themselves.  Saturday night was another exciting night of races for us all.  And then Sunday was the last day at the fair and our last day too.  Griffin decided to ride rides 5 minutes before we were going to leave.  Of course I didn't bring my camera that day because I was sure he was never going to ride a ride but he rode most all of them with Gavin.  Of course, we found Papa 4 wheeler and he helped contribute to the ride fund.  We had a great time and I was so happy to see the boys enjoy the fair this year.  Good thing it only comes once a year!!
