Homecoming 2011
This year I decided I should take Gavin and Griffin to the Homecoming parade. We haven't been to a parade in our home town ever with me, I don't think. Last year, Grandma Ruth took them. She was amazing, she took them everywhere so I thought this year I should take them. So I took off work early and we went. Griffin didn't want to leave Papa 4 wheeler's house so he stayed there. It was a nice little date with Gavin and me. I was a bad mommy though, I thought you couldn't throw candy anymore which I discovered very soon that they do throw candy. Thankfully a great friend of ours had an extra bag so Gavin collected for both Griffin and him. It was a good parade. Gavin didn't like the loud shotguns and personally they hurt my ears but it was really fun. Gavin got to see his teacher in the parade which he thought was awesome. It was really neat to hear Gavin call out to people who knew from school that were in the parade. He is a smart little guy, those same people would throw him candy too.

Can't believe you forgot the candy bag, the best part! :) And I agree, even if I know the gun shots are coming, I still startle EVERY time. Not a big fan of them either.
