I had a great Mother's Day spent with Kerry's family and with my family. The boys woke up to tell me "Happy Birthday" instead of "Happy Mother's Day" but it was so sweet just the same. They don't know the difference. Church handed out flowers to all of the mothers and of course both Gavin and Griffin grabbed one to give to me. They were so excited. After church, we headed over to Papa Steeler and Mama Dolphin's for lunch. Garrett loved be held by Kerry's family. He just looked around when he wasn't sleep. This day he took the world's best nap. I guess he was a tired little man.
The weather was gorgeous so we spend as much time as we could outside. Griffin dung in the dirt. He is all boy.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PICTURE. The boys, Kerry, Matt Matt, and myself played baseball. Kerry was pitcher for a while and then it was his turn to bat. So Kerry was more than happy to hit the ball. Gavin has really taken off in hitting and throwing, it is truly awesome to watch the boy get better through the years.
Then Griffin wanted to pitch. Uncle Matt Matt picked a spot in the grass to call the Mound and he took it very seriously that he HAD to stand there to pitch it.
Gavin hitting the ball.
Uncle Matt Matt's turn to hold Garrett. Look at that face on Matt Matt. Who has more hair, Matt Matt or Garrett?
After Kerry's family's side, we headed to my mom's house for a short while. The boys got their fix on the 4 wheeler and then they were ready to go. Garrett got his first ride too. We ended the day with a family supper of just us five. It was really nice.
These three are the reason, I am a mother. I'm so honored to be their mother. They make any bad day good, they can make any good day better, and they are all different and loving in their own way. I love these little guys so much and look forward to the fun that is yet to come.
Being a wife and mother is my greatest joy! I just really can't explain how much I love being a wife and mother.
