Birthday Party

Yesterday we had a birthday party for Gavin and Griffin together. We were so blessed to have so many family and friends come and help us celebrate. They both enjoyed the great evening. I made two homemade cakes from scratch, one yellow and one chocolate. Yes, can you believe it plus I decorated them myself as well which I thought they turned out adorable. The first cake has candy corn as corn stalks and the combine is harvesting. The second cake is crushed Oreo cookies to make dirt and then a tractor cultivating. Too cute!

Griffin finally got to get his fingers in some cake although at first he needed assistance from his Uncle Matt Matt. Our family and friends are so generous. The boys received everything they have ever wanted and then some.

Gavin and Griffin were thrilled to get to spend time with everyone. They both stayed up way to late which made for an interesting day today.

What fun!! I bet the boys had a great time and you are probably exhausted:) Thats nice that you had a good turnout and the boys got plenty of stuff-just more to clean up, right. :)

Wow, the cakes look great...it's great that you can kick those domestic skills into use every once in a while. And now that I know they turned out okay (the cakes) I will expect some samples. The boys look like they had a blast and enjoyed every second!

Cute cakes! You may have given me an idea for Ethan's birthday next month...although he will have NO idea what the candy corn is all about...! Maybe I stick to the dirt and tractor one:)
