Talk Between Farmers

Gavin is really into farming which I believe I have mentioned before. He talks with Papa 4 wheeler as often as he is allowed to on the cell phone. Papa 4 wheeler and Gavin have many conversations but here is one example that happened last night. I don't know what Papa 4 wheeler said so you will have to fill that in on your own...

Gavin: Papa! Papa! Papa! (Hint Gavin knows that Papa has to answer his phone but Gavin wants to make sure he is the first to say something to him)

Papa: .....

Gavin: I brought you cookies home.

Papa: .....

Gavin: Why is the old tractor left out?

Papa: ....

Gavin: Did you chisel plowing today?

Papa: ....

Gavin: When are you going to start?

Papa: .....

Gavin: Papa Old Tractor going to let me ride? (Papa Old Tractor aka Great Grandpa Merle Bittner)

Papa: ....

Gavin: Why?

Papa: .....

Gavin: You put on fertilizer yet?

Papa: ....

Gavin: Why?

Papa: ....

Gavin: Where is your blue truck? (Side note: The truck is actually white)

Papa: ....

Gavin: You done putting it away?

Papa: ....

Gavin: Is the combine away?

Papa: ....

Gavin: Is the auger put away?

Papa: ....

Gavin: I see someone combining in the dark.

Papa: ...

Gavin: They have a big semi.

Papa: ...

The conversation about farming goes on and on and on but to my amazement, Gavin has only just turned 3 years old 2 weeks ago and he knows more about the farming and the equipment than most people ten times his age. He loves to discuss with Papa about the equipment parts as well. It amazes me how much he loves and retains from talking with Papa 4 wheeler. Maybe someday he will follow in his grandfather's foot steps and be a farmer.
