Fairbury Fair

Last week was the famous Fairbury Fair. On Wednesday night we went to the Double Derby as Gavin calls it aka Demo Derby. Both boys loved it but Gavin really got into this year. He was yelling and cheering for whomever he wanted to win. I wondered whether I should be worried about him wanting people to crash into each other although I did explain why they do it. I think they both just thought it was so cool. On Friday night, we went for the Buddy night for rides. We had to stop by the petting zoo first thing. Griffin was a little fearful of them. I'm not sure why if it was because they were at eye level with them or what but they both thought they were funny. Gavin loved to feed them. We were worried if we gave Griffin the food for the animals he would eat them but he won't touch any of it.

Griffin loved the ducks!! He likes to "quack" at them. Griffin won't ride rides for the buddy night so Kerry either had to ride or we would find another friend. Just in case you were wondering I don't do rides because I get really really sick. I've tried and it just doesn't work for me to ride.

Notice how happy Kerry!!!! For real he is.... Gavin loved the helicopers.
I was shocked that Gavin got into this turning thing but he found friends that would so I was thrilled for him to go. Thankfully his friends were nice and didn't turn it too much but they all did have fun.
At the very end of the buddy night, Griffin rode this ride with Gavin . After Griffin discovered how fun rides can be, he didn't want to get off. He was a sad boy when we left but being tired was part of it as well. So glad they enjoyed the night. On Sunday, we went to the tractor pull and that was their highlight of the fair. Tractors everywhere what more could little boys ask for.
