Our neighbors, Dave and Mary

We have great neighbors by the names of Mary and Dave. Last week, I had a half day and when the boys wouldn't sleep I decided to take them outside to run off some of their energy. Man, I wish I had half of their energy at times. Mary came out to play as well. We sat and watched them play in the driveway on their bikes, toys, and outdoor toys for a long while. I enjoyed the company and the most comfortable patio chair on earth. Simple things in life. Mary went and got her bird while they played. The boys were quickly amazed by him. They talked to him and he would talk back. It was rather funny for us to watch as well.

Gavin would love to have opened the cage to have him crawl on his arm but he would fly away if that happened. It was easy entertainment to them for a while at least.

The picture below is taken from our second floor and we had to take it up that high to get the entire pumpkin plant in the picture. You see last year Mary had a pumpkin, well it rotted on the bottom before she had time to throw it away. She left the seeds go down where it was to see what would happen. She said if there were any pumpkins that grew on the plant the boys could have them. Well the plant was HUGE and it produced several pumpkins. Some of which are very large. The boys love them. You can actually see one right where Griffin is standing and then there is another one behind him and to the left a little ways.

It's awesome!! As you can tell the pumpkin plant has taken over Dave and Mary's patio and sidewalk. It is amazing how big they get.
