Happy 4th Birthday Gavin

My first born turns 4 today. Man oh man, how fast time really does fly. Seems like yesterday we were off to the hospital total unsure of what was going to happen and both thinking we would be coming home still with you in my womb but that wasn't the case at all. You came as our first blessing early in the morning and then you were swiftly taken away to be cared and looked at more carefully. We have come a long way from 4 years ago it seems and we are so thankful for you!! You are such an amazing little boy. You surprise us all of the time how smart you are and how you remember everything. And I mean EVERYTHING.... You are a little worrier like your mommy but you are such a caring, loving little boy. Always making sure others are taken care of and if not, you try to change things so they are. You make an amazing big brother to Griffin. He is so lucky to have you. You are becoming a pro at sharing and helping him learn the things you both enjoy to do. We have a certain routine at night, every night, that has to be just as such or you get a little upset. It just goes to show how scheduled you like things and particular you are, it helps keep your parents in line. I'm not sure where you got that from.... This year you have become a die hard race fan, thanks to Daddy. This summer we couldn't miss a race because you enjoyed just hearing the races let alone watching them. Your eyes would be stuck on those race cars all night long. You have also become such a great helper to Mommy without a fuss really but you sure do enjoy those extra candy treats you get. I love that you are so eager to help. It is so nice to have a personal helper. You have really started trying more food and enjoying it including meat. I think your favorite meal at this point is chicken nuggets with apples and carmel to dip them in. Cereal is a favorite as well; you are just like you mother in the way, that you could eat that for any meal. Your love for the outdoors has not changed one bit. I mean you would rather be outside working then inside playing. Gotta love that.
