Biking Lesson

Taking riding bike lesson number 2 but this time it is from Mommy.... He was a little scared this time around only because it was on the asphalt rather than in the grass. We just don't have a spot in the grass where he can ride that is smooth like their daycare's house.

After our pep talk and our homemade knee pads, it was time to ride. I tried to think creatively what would make a great knee pads but the only thing I could think up in a very short period of time was to cut the feet out of an old pair of thick socks. When I brought them out, he told me "those are just socks, MOM, not knee pads." But he agreed to put them on just so he didn't hurt his knees. He will do anything to save from scrapping up his knees not that I blame him. Then we were off... He was just a little worried but even more worried about if I was letting go or not.

But he did it!!! All by himself again and didn't fall at all.

He got a sucker as a reward. We are so proud of him. Griffy was racing right behind him on his scotter and thought it was pretty fun to follow his brother. After riding a bike and having lots of excitement for doing it so well, sometimes you just can't make it to the bathroom inside in time so you go out.

Of course, we have to show off Griffin's fabulous outfit for the evening. We are showcasing a no sock with tennis shoe style along with diaper and T-shirt just because we didn't want to wear shorts. And sometimes it just isn't worth the argument on what to wear outside in the yard where no one really sees you. So I let him go and be creative.
