Today is the day of Gavin's FIRST day of Pre-K. He was so excited and couldn't wait to go. He got up bright eyed this morning with Daddy's help (thanks so much Daddy-You are awesome!!), got all dressed by himself, ate his breakfast, and even had a little relax time with Griffy before taking off for the big day. Right before leaving, we brushed our teeth and I asked Gavin if he would like a splash of Daddy's cologne. I wanted to do something special for him so if he got lonely for us, all he would have to do is sniff and he would feel better. Sounds silly but I thought it was a good idea. He was so thrilled. After giving him is splash a huge smile appeared on his face and he said "Now I smell as handsome as my Daddy!" And he is so right, our boys get their great, handsome looks for their Daddy!! We were making good time (because we all know I'm not good at being on time) getting ready to head out the door and Griffin has a melt down. He cried and cried for "his Gavin". Poor Griffin didn't know what to do. He was asking who was going to play with him, what he was going to do without "his Gavin", wanted to go to school with Gavin, and wanted to just be with him all day. My boys right now are inseparable and I had no clue it would be so hard on Griffin. I mean they even sleep in the same bed. So morning, noon, and night they are always together. Anyways, Gavin told Griffin he would be okay and gave him a big hug. That right there was a precious moment. After a very quick picture at the house, off to school we went. Gavin walked in just fine, said "Good-Bye", gave a quick hug to us both again, and was good to go.... I think he was completely ready to go to school, I am praying he has a great day and enjoys it.
