Fairbury Fair

Oh the Fairbury Fair, what can I say about you!! We had a lot of fun but we spent way too much money. Wednesday night we all went to the demo derby or as the boys call it bumper cars. It was loud and not as good as last year but the boys loved it. By the way, the minivan class rocked. Thursday night it was one ticket per ride so we went out to ride the rides. Griffin was extremely ride shy which completely shocked me. Gavin couldn't wait on the other hand. He had been talking about riding the jet skis for a couple of days.

We finally convinced Griffin to go down the slide. He was fine at the top but by the time we hit the bottom he was mad at me for some reason or another. Oh well!!

Then Griffin was clingy to me the rest of the night....

Griffin finally decided that he would ride the "real" bumper cars but when he got up there he wasn't tall enough. Oh man!! What a disappointment but their good daddy still took Gavin on it though.

Kerry and I went on the boat ride. It made both of our stomachs drop but it was so worth going on. Friday night was adult night with some great friends of ours. Saturday was the races. And Sunday was the tractor pull along with another set of rides. Man, Sunday was the hottest day of all which made it difficult to stand still or in the sun.

Go figure the last day, Griffin found something he loved to ride; the helicopter and the school bus. I'm so glad they enjoyed them and each other. Mommy and Daddy enjoy another ride on the boat too. Well the fair is always a lot of fun but I'm glad when it is over too. Now back to a routine and the start of school.
