Catching Lighting Bugs

The other night Kerry had to move some gravel into the garage so I invited our amazing friends down so the kids could be entertained while we worked.  You know when you have truly great friends when they come down in the hot heat to help do manually labor without being asked to help in that area but they do it just because and never once complain.  Well we are so grateful for our great friends because the gravel was moved and the kids played.   And then the fun began...  it got dark shortly thereafter and Griffin started to catch lighting bugs with Katy.  It seemed like we had thousands in our backyard and there was plenty for everyone to catch.  Griffin loved to check them out while they lite up in the jar.
Gavin was super quick and caught some.  They are fast little bugs.
Both Tyler and Gavin were so helpful to their siblings.
Griffin is watching me put a bug in our "homemade jar", Plastic wrap over a glass cup.
Running to catch one....  I told you they were super fast.
 Almost got it....
Lighting bugs are a sign summer is here, at least in my opinoin, and that is a beautiful thing.  Love to make these memories with the boys.

Brandon was showing Brayden the other night how to catch a lightning bug! He was so intrigued- it was so cute! I guess I should embrace this :)
