There were way too many people and way to hot to stick around for pictures in the gym so we headed back to Papa Hurt Leg's for pictures.

What can I say, Dylan loves me.... LOL
Then with the weather being absolute gorgeous we headed to Papa Steeler and Mama Dolphin's house to swim in their pool on Saturday. Oh how I love to be in the sun with my boys swimming. We had a great time. Griffin took a good two hours to finally get hot enough that he wanted to get in the water. He takes a little warming up to an idea but once he was in then he didn't want to get out. Griffin stayed on the raft which he called, a boat.
Gavin absolute loves the water and was having a great time jumping off of the steps or the side of the pool.

Finally happily in the water...

Then he started blowing bubbles...

We ended up taking Murphy with us thinking he would like to come with us and enjoy the afternoon. He was a little panicky though about me and the boys being in the water. He would keep a close eye on Gavin and Griffin. Then while I was on the raft, Murphy didn't like that I would get too far away from him. Kerry and I got too worried that he would jump in after one of us so we had to put him in the house.

Of course after we got Griffin in, he didn't want to get out. They are my swiming babies.

Later that afternoon, we headed back to Fairbury to Dylan's graduation party. We stayed really late and the boys had a great time being race cars and making their own track while drinking 7-up. They thought they were big stuff drinking "pop".
We had such an awesome time in the sun on Saturday that on Sunday we decided to go back to the pool with Matt Matt and Lacy. Thankfully Griffin didn't take as long to warm up to the idea of the pool. I won't say he jumped right in but after his nap he did get in on his boat. Towards the end of the afternoon, Griffin even stared to jump off the side while holding my hands with Gavin. Gavin loves to change his mind so he will go from wearing his life vest to wearing his floaties. So the picture below illustrates that Matt Matt was trying to convenience Gavin that wearing his life vest was cool while you jumped in the pool. Gavin couldn't understand why Mommy, Daddy, Matt Matt, and Lacy didn't have to wear vest but he did.

Matt Matt also gives great swim lessons for the boys. Griffin had to continuation his lesson from last year.

Mommy and her swimming partners...

We ate an All-American meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, and pasta salad before heading over to Papa 4 wheelers house to play for a while. Nothing says Memorial Day weekend more then that menu.
On Monday, our plan was to swim in a friend's pond in the afternoon but when the weather had a different plan we stayed home!
We hope we can use the pool a lot more this year than we did last year meaning we are hoping this awesome summer weather sticks around all summer long. The weather was so amazing this past weekend and we had the best time everywhere we went.
