Background information: A few weeks ago, Gavin decided that he wanted to start sleeping on the top bunk because it was cooler up there. It went great. Griffin slept on the bottom bunk and there was no problems until a storm came along. Now normally my boys don't mind storms but I guess if you are on the top bunk they are worse. So after that storm Gavin didn't want to sleep on the top anymore so I thought for sure Griffin wanted to go back up there but he didn't. I was shocked. Both boys wanted the bottom bunk. Well, we bought the
trundle for this bed and hadn't used it yet so what better time then now. So we pulled it out and put the mattress in and all was good. Until Griffin started falling off the bottom bunk onto Gavin's feet which is pretty funny. No one got hurt just Gavin was awaken everytime. Gavin would come in upset saying Griffin landed on him. Griffin was asleep through the whole thing. He would roll off during his sleep just a few inches so I would put him back in bed. It kept happening so I had to think of another plan. So in comes Plan B... At Christmas time, Papa 4 wheeler and Mama Kathy got them this race car tent for one of their beds. I thought what a perfect way to get either of them back in the top bunk to sleep. So on Sunday, Kerry and I put it up for them. I have to admit, it is pretty neat. Gavin said, "Now this is a tent for the inside not outside, right Mom." Yep it is...

It is a race car a little difficult to tell but you get the pictures. It is really like a tent with all the pockets, zippers, windows, and doors.

So now both of them sleep on the top bunk TOGETHER.

The bottom of the tent is plastic so it is easier to clean then a regular fitted sheet which is an added bonus. Now Griffin doesn't roll onto Gavin and Gavin can't see the storms through the tent (hopefully not, we haven't had a storm yet) so it works out perfect. Also they both know what the other one is doing because they can now see each other at all times. They seem to talk a lot during bedtime but it just means they are getting closer to one another. So Plan B is a great fit for now...
